Who doesn’t love the beach? Summertime makes us think about packing up the kids, taking a picnic lunch out to the lake or seaside, and just relaxing the day away near the water. Crew member Agnes has a love for the sea, as well, and was inspired by our Nautical Paper Collection to create this masculine beach themed birthday card and gift box!
I love the sea side and I couldn’t help but get this fantastic Nautical Paper Collection. I created a men’s gift with card for my husband as a little birthday treat. I know that many times we are struggling to get the prefect projects which meets the needs of the men. They don’t like all those fluffy things- they like it simple in colours and form and I tell you this collection is fantastic for it. I hope you will enjoy what I made and you will get inspired. Hugs, Agnes

STEP 1
Let’s the fun begin! We start with preparing our gift box by folding it and cutting all the needed paper pieces to decorate our lid. You can see the process on the pictures.
STEP 2
After we attached our chosen pieces of papers we can add some shades with inks and mists to create old vintage background.I also used mist to color the boat window I took two different colors of blue.
STEP 3
While the mist was drying I prepared the central piece on the top of the box. I used cut out boat from one of the papers and add some pieces of thread and sea shells, beads and spayed everything with mists and glimmer paint.
STEP 4
On top of my central piece I glued a plastic lid from a cheese container and added my chipboard boat window. After all your box is ready and decorated with a little shaker box full of sea shells.
STEP 5
Second step is to prepare the birthday card.We need base 15 cm by 15 cm and the same size paper with pattern. You can add some mists and inks on the paper to make nice background machine the gift box.
STEP 6
After the base for our card is ready we start to decorate it. First I added a fun sentiment stamp. Then, I prepared rest of the elements by colouring them with blue and brown mists.
STEP 7
When all our elements are ready we can add them on the card to create the final look.
What a great card and gift box by Agnes! We love how she created this Nautical gift set that is just perfect for that guy in your life. Sometimes making masculine projects can be hard, but like Agnes mentioned, stick to basic colors and simple embellishments. We love that fun sentiment that Agnes paired with this birthday card, as well!
