September is almost gone which means that it’s time to start planning for October.
With a little bit of imagination and some awesome Architextures elements, you can turn your monthly spread into an eye-catching and fun base for noting down your plans and adventures.
Ava Gavloski shares her October planner layout which she decorated using elements from the Architextures Stash Paque.
Fall is upon us and the cool weather brings out the rustic mood and feel to some of my projects. I have already completed a 2017 October planner page with lots of pen’d notes. When I was looking through my Enjoy, Stash Paque I saw all these numbered vintage images and thought 2018. So with out loosing the creative mood for vintage, I got to work on my 2018 October planner page. Once the creativity start’s ya can’t stop. – says Ava.
On her spread, Ava used the following:
7gypsies Architextures Stash Paque- Enjoy
7gypsies Architextures 8×8 paper pad
Canvas Corp – Burlap sheet natural
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Walnut Gold
Planner package
Planner sticker numbers
personal paper trimmer
distress tool
exacto knife
I have a happy planner so I removed the October chapter from the 12 month un-dated planner package.
You can use your monthly spread in the planner you are currently using.
Sort through the 7gypsies Stash Paque-Enjoy and select the pages to create a vintage antique October calendar.
Select papers from the 8×8 Architextures stack for the October cover.
Start by fussy cutting the clothespin from the cover with an exacto knife.
Trim all your calendar numbered embellishments.
Did I mention Distressing. Love to distress edges to get a textured look.
Tearing edges of paper can add an “Old World” feel to any project. Layering pattern paper and burlap on the cover add’s to the vintage feel of the cover.Tip: Pull paper towards you when you tear. This leaves the inner core exposed and inking the edges allow the ink to be absorb noticeable better.
Adhere all the numbered label panels and decorate the calendar month with embellishments.
Check out this vintage title made from the alphabet stickers from the Enjoy Stash Paque.
To make the calendar page match the warm colors of the numbered embellishments, I sprayed some Walnut Gold 7gypsies Glimmer Mist on my page. Can you see the shine and glimmer in this mist?
Here is a final look at the calendar; all aged softly to introduce the days of fall in 2018.
