On the grungy side…

What can be better than Tattered Angels and Prima together? I guess only more and more of them – that’s why this month we provide you tons and tons of inspiration!
Most of people think Prima is flowery, romantic and girly… well, yes indeed, but not only! There are many other interesting products in the collections too… I just love to use them and find more and more  fresh ideas. It is also amazing that Tattered Angels paints are just perfect to change the “flowery romantic” into whatever you wish for. So, why not for grunge? 😉 Grungy Prima – why not?

For this layout I used a great scrapping base – printed mistable canvas from Prima, which was stitched, stamped with Prima stamp and sprayed with Tattered angels Glimmer Mists in shades of pink, gold and brown. I used Viva Pink, Creme de Rouge, Crushed Shells and Gold and as a a finising touch a bit of Black Magic Glimmer Mist. The other sheet of the mistable canvas was torn into strips and used to build the texture and layers and combined with some lace, paper tape and chipboard borders.

The other Prima products on this page are buttons, a fabric flower (which I altered a bit and made more grungy), fabric title and mistable canvas resist elements from the Londonerry collection – I love this new product with all my heart.

Other fun elements are metal and chipboard gears some dew drops and paper clips I added to finish the composition. I didn’t use any paper for it – isn’t it fun?

As I mentioned before Prima released a range of 6 mistable Resist Canvas embellishments, intended to be use with TA Glimmer Mists – one for each of 6 collections. After spraying, they show pretty, printed pattern. Here is another example of this unique embellishment, colored with Tattered Angels products:

The background of this page are Prima Londonerry papers, stamped with the clear stamps from the new release and misted a bit with Glimmer Mists in shades of blue, brown and black: I used a bit of Slate, Moonlight, Puerto Rico, Vanilla Breeze, Crushed Shells.

You can also here Prima embellisments and flowers together with flea market objects sprayed with Glimmer Mists and then colored with Tattered Angels Oil Slick Glimmer Glaze on the top, to give the extra shiny effect.

My last project is an Art Journal cover, painted with gesso, Tatered Angels Glimmer Mists and a bit of watercolors. It is a really fun mixedmedia project with a lot of texture and paint on it!

You can believe or not, but the cover is made with cardboard and Prima “Printery” paperline… I just added some extra stamping with my favorite collage stamp from Prima on the edges… and lots, LOTS of Tattered Angels paint 😉
If you look close you’ll see more of Prima details too: torn into pieces mistable canvas strips, a beautiful button and strips of Prima cotton tape, which I just love. It is all sticked and covered with loads of gel medium and gesso. The most fun part was using the round teabags as a main element of composition:)
I think they look beyond amazing, covered with loads of gel medium, gesso and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists: Turqouise Blue, Frost, Moonlight Crushed Shells and Tattered Leather. The final touches were made with a paintbrush and fingers – to deepen the shades I used Black Magick Glimmer Mist which I used as a wtercolor to circle the teabags. I also added some gesso on the top of them, to give even more dimension… May I say I love my new journal?

Thank you for watching and see you soon again!
