Pages full of color

Hi again!
This month we share with you the pages, which I consider to be the most intimate, showing more than just a piece of our hearts and souls – Art Journals.
Funny thing about my journals is that I consider them to be more an”experimental field” or place for expressing the most hidden emotions than a carefully planned, beautifully designed page. My journals (I’ve got 3 at the moment, all of them in progress) are messy, full of junk, texture and color… they are full of “me” in all possible aspects. They aren’t pretty – they are emotional and made with passion. Do you want to enter to my journal world? Remember… you asked for it! 🙂

Most of the times journal pages are inspired by something, which is close to my heart or something that made a great impression on me. They are small pieces of my world, my point of view – they show things which are inspiring and tell something more about my personality. I create them in many different techniques – mostly self-discovered (which is for me a very important part of fun ;)).
The pages below are all made as paper-and-junk collages, they are all a part of a “Full Moon Journal”, which is the way of finding answers explaining the womens’ nature. I had great time with those pages – I feel they are really important to me.

(The words are: strengh, temptation, passion, mystery, femininity, solace)(wods: sensitivity, imagination, dreams)(text: Body language. I’m a nice woman. I matured and I don’t have regrets. Don’t you believe me? – And my wings? – They’re expresion of femininity.)

I really enjoy creating layers, painting them with gesso and coloring the page with different shades of Glimmer Mists and Chalkboard Glimmer Mists. In my opinion they are perfect not only for spraying but also as non-traditional watercolors which can be applied with a paintbrush on the paper or photo. The effect can be really amazing!
The Glimmer Mist colors I used in these pages are Tuscan Sun, Viva Pink, Cherub Pink, Marmelade, Sand and Black Magic.

One more journal page – painted with gesso and Glimmer Mists in all possible colors: Tea inspiration. I’m totally addicted to tea and I enjoy colecting the teabag labels, especially if they contain quotes or information. This page is a tribute to my everyday tea 🙂

May is also a month of weddings and love – and so it is here on Tattered Angels blog. On the Tattered Angels webpage you can find beautiful “wedding palette” which was also my inspiration for the last project. This old family photo shows my grandparends’ weddind day. It was soon after the War, so it wasn’t easy to organise everyting properly – my grandma didn’t even get her wedding dress, luckly, she had a white veil and beautiful bunch of flowers.

I took some Chalkboard Glimmer Mists – Teal High Heel and Chalk and combined them with Glimmer Mists: Silver Sugar and Sand to create this absolutley delicate, romantic background using the amazing paper from Pink Paislee’s collection – Parisian Anthology.

White Prima flowers were colored with Silver Sugar Glimmer Mist and the chipboard numbers and clock witch Chalkboard Glimmer Mist in white color – Chalk.

I wish you all happy creating and wonderful Spring time!
