Wow what a month here in Tattered Angels land. Weddings and Art Journals, definitely a little something for everyone.
I don’t know about you, but I love to surf the web looking for Art Journals and I stalk the local bookstore waiting for Somerset’s quarterly Journaling magazine to come out, so I was definitely excited about this theme. Here are a few pages from by journal (which isn’t really a journal at all, but 7 Gypsies photo stand filled with random thoughts and inspirations)
I admit that when I first discovered Tattered Angels products I was a little scared of just spritzing, so I would hand paint things, while I have clearly conquered my fear of spraying, I still go back to painting every once in a while, like the flower on this page.
Do you fall in love with the ‘left overs’ those over sprays and bits and pieces of misting that didn’t make it to your project. I do and so this next page is a using one of those scraps. One of my other favorite techniques is on this page. To add dimension to flowers, I use two coordinating colors (Blue Skies and Jazz Blue) and a use the tube of the mist bottle to add the highlights on the edges of the petals and the spray the whole thing with a blast of Dazzling Diamonds for extra sparkle.
Finally some times you just need to go a little crazy and let the mists lead the way. A little misting, a little painting, a little tube shaking and dragging. No matter how you use them, Tattered Angels products are the best.
Since I was on the painting bandwagon I decided to keep it going on my wedding project. I used Tattered Rose mist and Wicked Glaze to fill in the white section of the Pink Paislee paper. The top scallop and background are misted with Cherub Pink and the butterflies are painted with Paradise Pink glaze. It’s hard to see in the photo, but since wedding always have a bit of sparkle I covered the whole page in Dazzling Diamonds.
Thanks for spending some time with me today.
