Hello Canvas Corp Brands friends, Lynda here. If you are anything like me, you love to give baked goods during the holidays. When I saw these saggy baggy fabric baskets in the Canvas Corp store I knew they would be perfect for my cookie giving this year. They will make such a cute piece of holiday decor once the cookies are gone!
Here’s how I made this cute Saggy Baggy:
For this project you will need:
Canvas Corp – Saggy Baggy Fabric Basket Burlap Quart size
Canvas Corp – Jute Ball Natural
Tattered Angels High Impact Paint Black and White
Liquid glue, trim, stencil, paintbrush, chipboard, gem
Using liquid adhesive layer the two types of trip together.
I find that if you adhere layers of ribbon on a flat surface it is easier to then add the single piece of trim to a final project.
Adhere the trim to the saggy baggy using liquid adhesive. Set aside to dry.
Paint your chipboard pieces with white High Impact paint and set aside to dry.
Once the trim is dry, using black High Impact paint; stencil the letter onto the saggy baggy.
I put a piece of parchment paper inside the sack to protect the back from painting on the front. Set aside to dry.
Once the chipboard is dry, use liquid adhesive to glue a piece of chipboard to each end of a piece of jute.
Set aside to dry.
Once the glue is dry add a gem to the center of the chipboard.
Use liquid adhesive to add the jute with chipboard under the trim.
The gem really makes the white of the High Impact paint pop.
I can’t wait to pass out these personalized Saggy Baggys to our extended family on Christmas Eve.
Happy holidays!
