Playing with color

Hello Everyone, Vicki Chrisman here.   I have a few new projects to share with you today.  The first project is a canvas that was inspired by a quote I saw the other day, that I just LOVED.  If you love to “create” you totally understand this.  The art that’s the best is the art that you create… “just because you want to”!  That piece that lets you have total creative freedom, with no rules… and for no one…… just because!  I have to idea where these wise words originated…but thank you to that person for speaking for so many of us who feel the very same way 🙂

Colors used where Key Lime , Patina, Tutti Frutti  and Sun Sisters Glimmer Mist.  Organic Garden, and Pink Lipstick Glam.

I hung it just near my work table in my studio … as a little reminder.. “why” I create!

My next project was done using a canvas banner from Canvas Corp and Stamps from Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage and Pink Lipstick Glam, Black Cherry Glimmer Mist and Valencia and Peacock Chalkboard paints from TA.

And .. one more project.  I couldn’t begin to count the number of times I’ve used this adorable little fairy girl. ( also from Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage)… Isn’t she cute? I love using my TA paint to create beautiful backgrounds to stamp and build on.  In this case, I just wiped up and used left over color from my misting mat.  NO waste.. and look how beautifully it blends.

I hope you are all enjoying “Spring”.  I certainly am.  I love having the windows open and letting the sun shine in.  I keep thinking , one of these warm days I’m just going to set up a table on  the deck and do my painting out there 🙂
