I have two projects to share with you today, both using texture paste with the same screen from Tattered Angels.
When I created this layout I used the same screen twice, flipping it over to mimic the look of a pair of wings. When the texture paste was dry I painted the background with gesso.
To colour my page I started out by adding Simply Sheer Light Blue and Simply Sheer Pink. I made the “wings” pink and the rest of the background blue and I then tilted my page slightly, to make the paint run down the page. I then added Chalkboard Glimmer Mist London Fog, Glimmer Mist Silver Sugar and Glimmer Mist Graphite. I splattered some Glimmer Glaze Pewter over the background and the chipboard numers were painted with Glimmer Glam Smootches.
For my second project I used a 6×6 Chunky Burlap Canvas from Canvas Corp and I started out by covering it with clear gesso. I love the look of the burlap, but I wanted to see how the clear gesso changed the properties when applying mist. When the gesso was dry I added texture paste, using the TA screen.
I then misted my canvas, using Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Valencia and Glimmer Mist Sun Sisters. I also tied some black jute rope/cord from Canvas Corp, around the thick edge of the canvas.
I decorated my canvas using a mini canvas shape star from Canvas Corp, misted with Glimmer Mist Key Lime Pie. I painted the cardstock star with Glimmer Glaze Desert Sun and the wood cameras were painted with Glimmer Glam Organic Garden.
Thank you for stopping by! Have a lovely day!
