Hello papercrafters! It’s Lynne Joncas here with an 8×8 Baby Boy Album I made as a gift; I LOVE texture but had to take it easy and keep the pages pretty flat so the album wouldn’t be too bulky….sigh….the struggle is real!
This is the cover – I started with a plain cream-coloured album and misted the cover lightly with Maya Blue Glimmer Mist.
Supplies used
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist-Maya Blue
Canvas Corp Mix & Match Pad-Snips & Snails
a few pieces of blue and brown papers from my stash
Buttons from the button box
White glue and glue stick
Foam adhesive
Border punches
The 12×12 sheets from the pack were cut down to 8×8, and the mats attached to some of the pages for photos are all 3-1/2×5-1/2″. I tried a mat large enough for a 4×6 photo but didn’t like the look on such a small page. The burlap and canvas pieces also come from the Mix & Match pad, which is pretty awesome, since it was a handy way to add some texture without too much bulk.
The young lady who is receiving the album is someone who was a member of the midweek children’s program I used to teach at our church…since the age group I worked with was JK-grade 2 (about ages 4-8) and she’s turning 24 this month, I have known her for quite a while!
I love the combination of colours in these papers and the adorable images and sentiments; the pad made putting this album together easy and enjoyable.
The inside cover was a great spot for this sweet sentiment, which I thought would serve as a perfect introduction to the album.
The sheet of paper with the letter blocks was great to cut up for use on pages.
If there are any babies on the way in your world, grab some of these sweet papers and create something wonderful-the possibilities are endless!
Thanks for stopping by, and I wish you a colourful and creative day!

How did you put the pages together.

It’s a post-bound album, which comes with the clear page protectors attached through two holes, then the paper pages slide in through the open top of those. You can find these in any scrap store, Michael’s, JoAnn, etc. Hope this helps!
