Sugar Molds For DIY Party Decor

On our venture to Vintage Market Days in Northwest Arkansas we came across a pile of amazing sugar molds that range from 3 openings to as many as 9.  We had to have one and the ideas were flowing.  We love to set the buffet for parties, events and even dinner and what a great way to set the cutlery.  Michelle choose this fun palette of yellow, red and robin’s egg blue is amazing spring for a summer outdoor party, birthday party of party by the pool, the colors are perfect.

Add tags from The Watering Can Collection.  Vintage garden art printed on our paper bag kraft paper giving it a great trendy, vintage market feel.

Fill with plastic or metal silverware for your next event.  Keeping in mind you can change the paper to represent different holidays, events or party themes.

Another great idea to try with the cones is to fill them with snack foods like these Cheez-It®,  Smartfood® Popcorn and ROLD GOLD® pretzels .  You can choose your own foods of course, but these look great, offer a nice color option and taste amazing.  You can set this on the buffet next to a few great dips to add fun color and they actually take up less space.

If you have a sugar mold or two, take them out and fill them with paper cones and add whatever you desire.  If you don’t have any sugar molds you can find them at flea markets, vintage markets and barn sales.  They are anywhere from $9-$25 depending on the size and the condition.  Looking for an online source we found this website http://www.directfrommexico.com They are a bit more, but they come with a stand and they quality looks really good.

My gut is you will see our sugar molds again soon new paper, new design and filled with something very special.

Happy Creating.
