Summer Memories With 7gypsies Architextures Traveler’s Journal

Hello friends! Karla here today to show you how easy it is to create a mini album using the new 7gypsies Architextures Traveler’s Journals! If you’ve used traveler’s notebooks in the past you can appreciate how versatile they are; and if you haven’t – well you are in for a treat! These Traveler’s Journals are a small notebook available in two sizes and have several different cover designs available. You can use them for anything from bullet journaling, creating mini albums, keeping notes, a sketch book – and much more! They are just the right size to tuck into your purse as you leave the house and would make a lovely gift to give to someone. Below, you can see the steps I used to decorate the cover and create a summer scrapbook layout. My girls love looking through these small versions of a scrapbook and it’s a lovely way to share our family and summer memories. Be sure to scroll down to find the VIDEO link where you can watch the full process.

Here’s a look at the steps I followed to decorate my Summer Traveler’s Journal

I decorated the cover using the chalk board ‘photograph’ ephemera from the Shelf Salvage Art, layered over the frame cut from the Architextures 8×8 paper pack. I spelled SUMMER using stickers in the Create & Enjoy Stash Paque booklets. Then I added textured stickers from the 7gypsies Architextures Cabin Junque Paque to the front cover. These Junque Paques are so fun to create with! You can cut, tear, or use the stickers as is on your project.

Travelers Journal, Travelers Notebook, 7gypsies, Architextures, Summer, Mini Album, Scrapbooking, Mixed MediaI used a stencil to mist Tattered Angles Golden Lime Glimmer Mist onto the Canvas Corp Postcard and then added a 2×3” photo that I printed with my Canon Selphy printer in a photo collage. I added postage stamps cut from the 7gypsies Ordre Du Jour paper, a turtle cut from Canvas Corp Critters paper in Kraft and my journaling.Travelers Journal, Travelers Notebook, 7gypsies, Architextures, Summer, Mini Album, Scrapbooking, Mixed MediaI used Tattered Angels Snowy Night (blue) and Golden Lime Glimmer Mists along with stencils to add colour to the background paper of my Traveler’s Journal, misting through the stencil and then turning it over and pressing it against the paper to get a negative image.

Travelers Journal, Travelers Notebook, 7gypsies, Architextures, Summer, Mini Album, Scrapbooking, Mixed MediaI used Washi tape to attach the decorated postcard to the right hand page, creating an extra flap inside my journal.

Travelers Journal, Travelers Notebook, 7gypsies, Architextures, Summer, Mini Album, Scrapbooking, Mixed MediaI added small photos, ephemera from the Salvage Art mini packs and a truck sticker from the 7g Architextures toy pack on the right side of the page under the postcard flap.

Travelers Journal, Travelers Notebook, 7gypsies, Architextures, Summer, Mini Album, Scrapbooking, Mixed MediaOn the left side of the page I added photos, layering one over a piece of Canvas Corp tissuestock, and a beach card from the Salvage Art Blue Ephemera pack. I added a sentiment cut from the Canvas Corp Beach on Ivory paper and two pieces of wood veneer coloured with Golden Lime Glimmer Mist.

I decorated a white Canvas Corp Market Tag with watered down Golden Lime Mist, various sponged ink colours, and splatters of the Rose Gold Glimmer Mist. I think this new Rose Gold is one of my favourite colours!!

Travelers Journal, Travelers Notebook, 7gypsies, Architextures, Summer, Mini Album, Scrapbooking, Mixed MediaI misted the back side of the postcard, with Rose Gold Glimmer Mist through a stencil.

I attached the tag to the back of the postcard and then I layered two photos on top of the tag , one layered over a piece of the tissuestock misted with Snowy Night Glimmer Mist. Then I added 7g Architextures Grow Parchment Paper Rub-ons to various spots on the tag and around my page. The Rub-ons actually look like a vintage stamp when applied!
