Summer Project – Zipper Art tote

Hello crafters! I am Jean Marmo and I needed a bag for carrying my art supplies so I used the Canvas Corp burlap and canvas zipper tote. I created a background and made flowers from another piece of canvas to make sure that my art tote looks up to scratch.

Materials used to upcycle the art tote:
Canvas Corp Burlap And Canvas Zipper Tote
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – English Ivy, Rusty Red, Tattered Leather, Sunflower and Red Tipped Roses
Tattered Angels Color Wash Paint French Roast
Architextures Short Base Gate
Architextures Tall Base Feathers

• I created the background by misting leaves from the garden – they worked as a stencil, which gave a cool effect.
• To make the flowers, I misted the canvas and cut into circles and flower shapes. I glued the layers together and folded to create the flower shape.
• Architextures base with the flowers layered over the top was the perfect finish to the upcycled design.
