Have you been to a Scrapbooking Show lately? If not, here is a bit about a recent show we attended in Arlington, Texas. If you have not been to a show in a while maybe this will inspire you to plan for the next show in your area.
On June 16, 17, and 18 of 2016 the scrapbooking world had an amazing convention hosted by Creating Keepsakes Events called the Great American Scrapbook Convention. It was 3 full days of paper crafting fun including classes, crops, demos, make-and-takes, shopping, prizes, and more!! There were over 65 vendors and 100 classes…that is a ton of scrapbooking fun!! At the beginning of each day there were long lines of people waiting to enter the floor to see what the vendors had to offer.
For those of us who love paper crafts and scrapbooking, it is up to us to support the shows, teachers, demonstrators and the suppliers who are continuing to develop new products for us. We can understand if you’ve had your fill with so many shows, events and crops over the years, but consider revisiting a show in the future to keep paper crafting going strong!!!!
Here is a walk-through video of what the vendor floor looked like at the convention.
The Crafty Scrapper from Waxahachie, Texas was a vendor on the floor that had a ton of Canvas Corp Brands products including Canvas Corp Mix and Match Pads, Mixed Media Origins Papers, Tattered Angels Paints including Glimmer Mists and High Impact Paints, canvas aprons, flowers, ropes, and more. Take a look!!
We were excited to have designer Anita Houston demonstrating the Canvas Corp Brands Products along side Ken Oliver, Maya Road and many other great brands. This hands-on approach is a great way to learn new techniques as you travel from booth to booth.
Here are a few of the amazing projects Anita had on display, including this Mixed Media Origins Box. It was even more amazing in person.
Anita also made a mini book with the awesome Origins papers and it is so very cool
Erin Reed attended the show and had the chance to work with CCB product along with other great brands and thought you guys might like to see things from her point of view. Here is a link to a video playlist by Erin Reed that features various demos and events that took place on the vendor floor.
If you ever have a chance to attend one of these events it is totally worth it! Take some friends, enjoy the demos and events at each booth, and fill your shopping bag with tons of amazing new products. It is like having 65 stores in one location…a paper crafter’s dream!!
Happy Show Going and Creating!!!!
