Are you like me a fan of Flea Markets and Garage sales. I just love pondering around looking at old stuff, trying to find the “catch” among the piles of rubbish. To be honest I really do not need and more stuff in our closets, but I can help myself when it comes to small items like frames, old clocks and books. You never know when they can be of use right?

The frame I used for this projects is just one of those unnecessary items that found it´s way to our home via a Garage sale earlier this year. I originally had a plan to make it white and pink and to fill it up with flowers, but when I changed my mind when I got my hands on the new DIV Paints from Tattered Angels.
Please follow my step-by-step to make your own version of this frame:
1: What you need is a frame, white paint or gesso and then your favourite Tattered Angels Mediums.
2: As you can see on the picture above I have painted my frame with white (gesso) first. This will give you a better surface when you start building up your layers. I first painted one layer of DIY paint. I just love the color (Jade).
3: Before the paint is dry you spray on your favourite color of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. I have used Gold. Leave it to dry or use a heater if you are inpatient.
4. When completely dry highlight parts you think needs it with High Impact paint – I used Light Gold for the relief pattern. Leave to dry.
5. As a finishing touch you can add a bit of Glimmer Glaze to give a more deep effect. I used Icicle.
I hope I could inspire you to give new life to those unnecessary things you have collected over the years.
