I have to admit I thought it would be quite a challenge, this metal theme. Not that I doubted the things you can do with glam and glaze on metal but the fact is I like metal the way it is… gold, silver… clean and clear!
I wasn´t sure paints would ad something to the metal for me. But once I started I found out that amazing things can be done with metal and paint and that I liked it.
So here´s my first project, a birthday card.
I embossed a metal sheet in my cuttlebug and sprayed it with Glimmer mist Bahama Blue. Let it air dry without dabbing the excess of because I love the pooled look. Then I slightly rubbed it with Grey Stazon ink and colored the word Bingo with Orange Crush Glimmer glaze.
The metal numbers were also painted with Orange Crush glaze as were the pearls. The orange Prima flower was sprayed with Sun Sisters glimmer mist.
Don´t you just love this bright orange color?
My second project is a little round tin.
I painted the tin with glimmer glam Organic Garden and Mermaid and then sprayed on top with glimmer mist Olive Vine and Bahama blue. The beautiful sticker on the lid was a nice present that came with my new agenda 🙂 The Prima ribbon was colored with Chalkboard Sprout.
My third project is my favorite. I used a “silver” heart necklace that was a little scratched and not so nice and shining anymore.
Covererd it with 2 coats of Orange Crush glimmer glaze. Just before it was completly dry I sprinkeld some copper embossing powder on it and heat embossed it. On top of that a little Mermaid glam and finally some white rubons. This way one of my – not being used anymore – necklaces became my favorite one!

Gorgeous…totally agree…the effects on metal {and then again glass, wood & canvas} is fascinating…a whole new way at looking at things 😉
