We all have that friend for whom wine is the best gift you can get… OR … there will be a last minute gift panic where your mind just goes blank and a bottle of wine is the inly idea you have… Yes, we all belong to one of these groups or maybe even both. And there’s nothing wrong with that! A nice bottle of wine with a pretty handmade wine tag will be a gift to put a smile on the recipient’s face.
Today, Ava Gavloski shares two very different wine tags she made: one inspired by the Fall and one following the nautical theme as it was for her sailing instructor.
The gift giving Holiday Season is upon us and here are some elegant wine tags that you can prepare ahead of time and have on hand as you head out the door. – says Ava.
Ava used the following products:
7gypsies – Epicurean collection papers
Canvas Corp – Nautical Sayings on Ivory CCP2805
Canvas Home Basics – Mix & Match pad – Snips ‘N Snails
Canvas Home Basics – Burlap
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Sugar Maple, Sunflower, Red Chillies
Tattered Angels Simply Sheer – Rose Leaf
Decorative Wire
Winnie&Walter Stamps
Wow! embossing powder
Personal paper trimmer, Westcott Scissors
Big Shot die cut machine, Leaf dies
Heat tool, Paint brush
Fall Wine Tag
Die cut 3 leaves from the canvas sheet.
Paint the canvas leaves with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.
Download a template from the internet to use as a guide for your wine tags.
Fray some burlap and ahere to your tags to build up volume.
To add some great texture to this fall tag, layer canvas leaves with denim from the Snips and Snails Mix&Match pad.
Curl some red and green jewellery wire onto a pencil and adhere the wire vines onto the back side of the painted canvas leaves.
Nautical Wine Tag
I recently took some sailing lessons, so the Nautical Sayings on Ivory were the perfect fit for saying thanks to my sailing instructor.
Great texture is created by adding burlap panels behind the Nautical Sayings on Ivory.
The fluted white cardstock came from the Snips And Snails Mix&Match pad.
Isn’t it true that those little pieces of beauty make the plain wine bottles so much more appealing and special?! You can choose any theme you like and there will be something in our CCB shop that will make it easy to achieve. Don’t limit yourself – spread your arty craftiness in those mini art pieces.
