Hi everyone, it’s Anna here with a couple of art journal pages and a layout, all using resist techniques. For my layout, I choose the easiest way of them all to create a beautiful resist effect – using a precoated resist paper.
The photo is from my little brother’s wedding earlier this summer – such a wonderful and special day! I really loved the sunflowers and I decided to go for yellow and green as my colours. I misted the background using Glimmer Mists Sunflower, Marigold and Olive Vine. On top of my resist paper I added a piece of canvas. I cut the piece from a 12×12 canvas sheet from Canvas Corp. I coloured the canvas using Glimmer Mists Blarney and Olive Vine.
The doily was coloured using Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Firefly.
For my art journaling pages I decided to stamp on a couple of old book pages. I used a Versamark stamp pad and clear embossing powder, to create a resist effect when misting. The stamps I used are from Vilda Stamps.
The pages in my journal was prepared with gesso and then misted with Glimmer Mist Cupid. The book pages were misted using Glimmer Mist Dragonfly, Blarney and Graphite. I coloured the cheese cloth with Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Seven Seas. I also used Glimmer Glaze Blue Oasis on the tag.
My second page was created in the same way. I also used a Canvas Corp canvas mini shape star and a piece from the Canvas Corp Decorative Hardware and in addition to the previous colours I used some Plain Jane Simply Sheer Aqua.
Have a very lovely day and thank you so much for stopping by!
