Capture wedding moments is a keepsake that will be seen by all. This Wedding Mixed Media Canvas features a special wedding photo and beautiful paint and art that adds texture and design and looks oh so much better than a simple silly frame. Sheila shows us how simple it is to layer paints, paper and photos in a few simple steps. This is also a great way to create a project with a damaged photo, simply layer it and cover the damaged area with a flower, charm or lace. The neutral wedding colors of the 7gypsies Harmony and the Canvas Corp DIY Papers make it so easy to coordinate with any wedding palette.
To Have and Hold Canvas
It seems like yesterday, that we walked down the isle and spoke the vows “to have and to hold”. A lot of things have happened in our first 28 years of being together… but each day I am blessed to have married my best friend.
I created this canvas for our home using the gorgeous Harmony Collection.
To create the background for the canvas, I brushed on paints in creams and whites.
Then I spritzed on Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist to give it a shimmer.
Next I tore the Harmony Collection: Honeymoon Pattern Paper and glued it onto the canvas.
Then I brushed over the paper with the cream and white color paints.
Next I added the Platinum and Light Gold Hi Impact Paints. Allow to dry.
To complete the canvas, I used Harmony Collection: Certificate of Marriage and Pearls & Lace Pattern Papers.
I created the flower using muslin, vintage pearls, lace and burlap fringe that I gathered around the flower. Gluing into place.
Next I added burlap, vintage lace, pearls, cream buttons and vintage broach to complete.
This would be a great wedding or anniversary gift to give or receive.
Wishing you a creative day, dear friends.
Have fun with your wedding photos or make an amazing wedding keepsake gift for your next wedding and show a little of your creativity off!!!!!
Happy Creating!!!
