Every CCB Traveling Art Journal has started its travels; they have all their first beautiful entries in and are on the way to their first destinations.
Today, we would like to share with you the first entries made by the ladies in Group1.
We have a quick review of all of the entries in this slideshow but below, you will get to find out more about each of them… make sure you keep reading!
Let’s focus on each of the Crew members now…
Some of the will share with you their inspiration, some will show you their process…there’s a little bit of everything here…
ENJOY!
Yva Lovée Barbour
‘This traveling art journal is a very special type of book, and will be filled with inspiration and creative expressions from my fellow artsy friends. The quote I chose, “books are dreams that we hold in our hands” reinforces the idea that this art journal will be a collection of ideas that will be shared by each person who adds to it, and all of those who come along for the journey and are inspired by the stories told in its pages.’
Here are the products Yva used in her journal:
Papers from 7 Gypsies Junque Pack
Tattered Angels High Impact Paints – Olive, Aqua

‘The inspiration for my page came from the architextures piece I was given. Since I had love on my mind because of the Valentine’s holiday, when I looked at the silver flask piece the song ‘Love Potion Number Nine’ came into my head. That little flask would be a perfect place to store a love potion right? So I printed out the words to the song and added them to my page along with the architextures flask and lots of warm love invoking colors.’

‘It took me quite a while to actually get the inspiration. I had this lack of inspiration that is unlike me And then suddenly the thought of what this journal was going to be gave me what I needed to complete the page. This journal will do what I would like to do, which is go in an adventure around the world. And when I go on a trip I tend to glue down ephemeras that I find along the way. This is what i did for this journaling page spread – Made it look like I had participated with my journal in all the travelling.’
