We all love Glimmer Mists, but did you know that you can use them like liquid watercolours? That is why we asked our Crew to come up with Valentine´s Day card ideas using Glimmer Mists like watercolours.
There is something for everyone in today´s post. Why not try out your painter skills, like Charity did, and make a unique hand painted scenery card? Or grab some lace and papers and paint those in similar colours to create a layered, romantic looking Valentine´s Card like Irit did? Or do what Elizabeth did and paint glittery hearts on white paper and add splatters and a sentiment. This is such a great idea for creating plenty of cards at once! Or last but not least, get inspired by the cards by Tatiana and Olena, these ideas are also great, if you need to make plenty of cards at once.

Two of my favourite things watercolouring and Glimmer Mist’s, a marriage made in heaven! I used a very inexpensive piece of watercolour paper and using a paintbrush with only water, painted the shape of a heart. Then after taking the lids off the Glimmer Mist’s added drops of the gorgeous colours onto the heart. The colours play within the shape you’ve created, and once dry the shine is stunning. I finished off with words from the inside of the packaging from 7Gypsies Parchment Rub On’s and few splatters of the Festival Glimmer Mist.
Happy Valentines Everyone!

I believe that you don’t always need fancy and expensive stamps, inks and dies to make a lovely card.
Sometimes a nice cardstocks, special paper and a couple of great mists will do the job.
This card was made with a mix of CCB products – one piece of Compose your life 8*8 cardstock on the bottom of the card; mini art image cut to the heart shape and a piece of Compose your life journal card with one single piece of Architextures with a few of Tattered Angles pink and red Glimmer Mists was all I used to make this card. Also I used masking fluid to cover the image before misting the heart shape and then covered it with clear embossing powder, but you can skip this step too. I also misted the simple white lace with one of the red mists to get the same color as on the card.
More than this – I made my sentiment using a piece of Architextures packaging and believe me this packaging can be used again and again!

I participated in Inktober 2018 and taught myself to draw mermaids. Although I have a long way to go, I have learned enough to add watercolor. This little beauty with green and purple hair and pointed ears is fully painted with Tattered Angels Mist paints. She was drawn on white cardstock and matted with gold foiled paper over a 5×7 card base.

Using Water Media Paper and Glimmer Mist Marmalade I created a gradient background for this clean and simple card. This ombré style background has a great shine and the tissue hearts add an elegent, three-demensional effect to the card. I used Hearts die cut dies by Sizzix in three different sizes and white tissue paper to create this look.

One evening I was just sitting and scribbling – I just ran my a pen around the card without a further plan. In the end I ended up with a page full of funny hearts. That gave me the idea to color the hand drawn hearts with Glimmer Mists in various red and pink shades. The process was very meditative and as a result I created this unique looking Valentine´s Card. I only used three tones of Glimmer Mists on my card, but by mixing and diluting them I could create various shades with just a handful of colours!
