Monica Taylor here today. I love venturing out to thrift stores. They have some great bases to create altered art. I found this little cutting board that I knew would be perfect to create a fun Wine & Cheese theme wall hanging.
Let me talk you through the creative process…
Materials used for the wall hanging:
Cutting Board
Tattered Angels Color Wash Paint – French Roast
Architextures™ 8×8 Paper Pad Collection #2
Architextures™ Junque Pack – Cabin
Architextures™ Findings – Wine Bottles
Architextures™ Treasures – Wooden Corkscrew
Screws, Screw driver, Glossy Accents
Adornments – Foundry, Cheese Fork
Scissors, Mod Podge, Paint Brush
Paint cutting board using French Roast Color Wash Paint.
Trim page from Architextues Pad #2 collection and adhere to cheese board using Mod Podge.
Cut down adhesive embellishment to frame the top and bottom of paper.
Add Stars and faux screws to base.
Add Architexture Wine bottle and Corkscrew.
Screw on Metal element to the top of the cutting board and glue on cheese form at bottom.
I’m sure you have an old cheese board or wooden cutting board lying around somewhere in your kitchen – take it out and give it a chance of a new life as part of your kitchen decor!!!
