Trying to figure out what to do on rainy afternoon? Why not grab your Tattered Angels mists and do some abstract painting? It will also be a great way of having your kids involved in some arty-time with you. It will become messy but… hey, that’s the great part of crafting with the little ones!
Our Crew Member, Blu Kissmycreative, is a pro at all things abstract and today she’s sharing with us a cityscape she made using scraps of some Canvas Corp tissue stock and colours she mixed herself using the TA mists she already had. Sounds fun, doesn’t it?
Let’s see how she does it…
‘This Project was inspired by an awesome illustrator I follow online named Cécile Hudrisier. I love her free style and, as someone who also loves abstract, wonky, odd looking things, I was super inspired by her work. I also loooooove cityscapes and buildings so I had a lot of fun creating this piece!’ – explains her inspiration Blue.
Materials used:
Canvas Home Basics Tissuestock: French Script on Ivory
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists: Navy Blue & Tutti Frutti
Tattered Angels Simply Sheer Mist: Rich Brown
Matte Gel Medium
Paint brushes in various sizes
Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pens
Using mists as watercolours is yet another way you can utilise them on your crafty adventures. And if you’re missing the colour you like/need/want – like Blu, mix the ones you have! You never know what exciting new ‘creature’ you will end up creating!
What a cool way to create an abstract cityscape!
