Cozy Moment – A Homespun Banner

Today Crew Member Candy Rosenberg share a project inspired by our November Challenge “Cozy Moments”. 

Candy tells us: I am a very tactile person, just as most artists are, that is why I love and adore so many of the Canvas Corp Brands products.  Just running your fingers over them is fun in itself, then finding a way to incorporate it into your space is even better.  Using burlap, canvas, Glimmer Mists and some flowers I made a little banner to give my mailbox and shipping store a little homespun holiday feel.  These fun projects can spiffy up your workspace, cubicle or business, not just your home!  And this could not be easier to make and you can go larger and put over a fireplace.  It creates a cozy environment even in my business!

Supplies List:  Burlap Sheet 12″ x 12″ Chevron | Stitched Canvas Banners | Glimmer Mist: Walnut Gold, Tattered Leather; Chalkboard: Black Orchid, Evergreen | Prima Flowers | May Arts Jute Ribbon

Using the Glimmer Mist and Chalkboard spray randomly to the stitched canvas banner pieces.

Run the flat Jute ribbon over the tops of the canvas and the burlap at the desired length, alternating them.

I started playing with paper, flowers and other embellishments to adorn the banner until I decided on flowers only.

 Once I got all the flowers on, I really finished the project.
