Architextures papers are amazing!!! Have we told you that before? We sure have!
You can cut them into pieces to use as additional texture, cut elements out to use as embellishments, you can use them as they are and build up on the design already there. Add to it some of the other Architextures elements and you have a never-ending creative options. So… what we’re waiting for?
Viktoriya Porechnaya puts her memories from her Gypsy Travels to Lviv, Ukraine into a handmade photo album in which she fully utilised the Architextures papers using them in as many ways as possible making her photos look even more vivid and appealing.
Some weeks ago we were travelling to Lviv ( old beautiful city in West Ukraine) I told about it in my submission for 7gypsies Warrior committee. We spent great time there and I have many photo about it. New Architextures scrapbooking paper, junkue, findings, trinkets and treasure ( even packs from it!) are creating especially for this occasion! It was so easy to make this album!

How to make it:
Cut the details from Architextures Papers: frames, banners, signs etc.
Start to create your pages. On the first page, I placed photos with old houses and street view so I used Stenciled Crates paper and cut door’s strip from Painted Doors paper. I also added old door from Junque Pack – Porch. Title was cut from the Parchment Rub-On.
Another page was about charming vintage places. I used Old Window paper for background, then I cut banners from Vintage Bunting, beautiful big frame from Ornate Frames paper and sign from Market signs paper. I placed my photos and added amazing Architextures details – small frame from Junque Pack – Parlour and exquisite cup from Trinkets – China Tea Cups.
My third page has some funny figures (old chubby man and Dr. Masoch). I wanted to make an extraordinary page, so I used Number Tags paper for base and cut a frame with funny dog from Art Wall paper with sign from Market Signs paper, amazing bottles from Found Glass Bottles Collection and their packaging are my foundation for this page.
I tried to use patterned Architextures paper and detail in other ways. See how I used Floral Guide paper for the above page.
Or these fantastic texures for Lviv’s textures photos. Mixed Media in real life!
Great ornaments on Junk’n paper.
And the other side of it – especially for Lviv’s vintage flea market.
Making the album:
Finally, I made the binding from thick cardboard, adhered the pages on it and created the fabric cover and canvas book spin in vintage style. I used TA paint and Glimmer mists for it.
The final accent is fantastic Lion Old Knocker on the cover, because Lviv is the city of lions!
What a beautiful way of keeping memories alive!
