This week I started creating all my backgrounds for my Christmas tags. I sprayed probably almost a hundred tags in red, green , gold and some blue/ white for a winter tone. Over the next few weeks I will stamp and tear and layer and emboss them. It is like a 5 step process for me. I do them in stages because I just don’t have the time to do them al in one day. lol I am definitely that mom who is the cook, the maid, the hairdresser, cab driver, sports cheering mom. So that is why I start early.
I like tro create marbled tags with the glimmer mist. I spray the Irridescent Gold all over then I sprayed the Mel’s Diner and then I just move the tag so that it starts blending. Let dry.
The same idea with Mel’s diner and Key Lime Pie. Don’t over blend or it gets mucky.
Here I blended 2 different blues. (I can’t tell you the names because they were the ends of bottles that I premixed. lol. I save EVERY drop!
For some of the tags I took dollar store foam snowflakes and used then as stencils. I started out with a light blue tag, placed the stencils and then sprayed over with a darker blue.
Take snowflake off to reveal the design.
I sprayed a whole bunch of the pink paislee mistables with red and green. These will work PREFECT for trim on my tags. so I sprayed, the immediately wiped off with a paper towel. repeat if you want darker.
Some of the tags I layered with other colours. Adding the twine is a fun touch!
This one I stamped a couple presents. Add ribbon. How fun!
Hope this inspires you to start creating your tags. Check back in December, I will show you how the finished ones turn out!!!!
