Last minute birthday party – doesn’t that sound scary???
Who to invite? How to decorate? What food to make? Gifts? Cake?
Panic ensues!!!
Tatiana Klimshina has a cute and simple solution – Canvas Corp kraft papers.
Thick and with a variety of designs, the kraft cardstock can be used in a variety of projects.
Here, we show you how to save the so important day!
INVITATIONS
This invitations are really quick to make – it will only take you a couple hours.
For the base, you need to cut the 12×12 page in half and then fold over the sides to meet in the middle creating ‘wings’.
From the Canvas Corp 12×12 E-Flute Black and Kraft, die-cut circles of various sizes; layer them up and glue to one of the ‘wings’ – this will create an overlapping closure. I also put names of the invited kids on the top here.
Use the Canvas Corp Thickstock – Kraft Speckle for the inner page and print or write on it invitation’s text.
Tatiana used the following for her invitations:
Canvas Corp Navy & Kraft Chevron Paper
Canvas Corp Navy & Kraft Mini Dot Rev Paper
Canvas Corp Black and Kraft Big Stripe Paper
Canvas Corp Black and Kraft Chevron Paper
Canvas Corp Navy & Kraft Stars Rev Paper
Canvas Corp 12×12 E-Flute Black
Canvas Corp 12×12 E-Flute Kraft
Canvas Corp Thickstock – Kraft Speckle
Others: paper stickers alphabet, circle dies.
Big shot machine Sizzix, WRMK Crop-A-Dile corner trimmer
As you can see, it is a fast and easy way to make invitations, which thanks to the rich color and good quality of the Canvas Corp papers look rich and fancy!
8th birthday party set for a boy
I made this set for 8th birthday of my friend’s son. It consists of a party banner, paper toppers and a notebook. All of the parts are made in the same color palette.
The birthday boy is very cute and he has a lot of different hobbies. Actually, the notebook I made for him is a hockey team player notebook. Inside there are pages for writing statistics of the games. His parents support his passion, and this is awesome.
Products used for the banner and notebook:
Canvas Corp Red and White Chevron paper
Canvas Corp Black and Kraft French Linen Stripe paper
Canvas Corp Black and Kraft Big Stripe paper
Canvas Corp Red and Kraft Ribbon Stripe paper
Canvas Corp Grey and White Diamond paper
Canvas Corp Red and Kraft Mini Dot Reverse paper
Canvas Corp Journal Lines on Kraft paper
Canvas Corp Bulk Kraft Paper Tags (Assorted Sizes Available)
Canvas Corp 12×12 Canvas Sheet – White
Canvas Corp 12×12 E-Flute Kraft
Canvas Corp Cord – Waxed Cotton – Dark Blue 45′
Cotton fabric, wood sticks, circle dies, stickers
sewing machine, Big shot machine Sizzix, WRMK Crop-A-Dile
7gypsies Gypsy Moments: 12X12 Poses and Reflections Paper
Here you can see the party banner that I made of assorted kraft papers by Canvas Corp.
There are also toppers with number 8 on them; they are reversible.
The cover of the notebook is made with combination of the two cotton fabrics – gray and red.
I also made an applique with stars from White Canvas Sheet. It is easy to make, but looks amazing.
Also I made an elastic clasp using WRMK Crop-A-Dile.
The inner pages of the notebook are all different, but very simple.
On the front page, there is the new owner’s name.
The white inside sheets, I drew by myself in Photoshop and printed them in the photo laboratory.
For the other pages and dividers, I used different combinations of the kraft papers from Canvas Corp.
I love them; they are so unique!
I also made some pockets, cute frames and different add-ons.
The party was so much fun and the little boy loved his new notebook.
I hope that I have given you some ideas on how not to allow for the organising stress to take over and let your craftiness make things happen for your little one.
Happy crafting!
