Let’s Go Glamping – canvas table setting

Summer might be over for most if us but it doesn’t mean we should be giving up on the outdoors fun!
Why not grab some of the Canvas Corp table setting items and add some magic touch using Tattered Angels paints.

Mona Leonard did just that and the result is awesome!

Mona shares her idea: We just bought a new trailer and everything in it was beige and brown. I just thought to myself ‘it needs a Mona touch’. I love bright, cheerful colours so I thought… why not coasters and a placemat to start off with?

Mona used the following:
Canvas Corp 4″x4″ coasters

Canvas Corp 14″x20″ placemat
Tattered Angel High Impact Paints
Stamping Tool, Black Ink and Stamps
Pencil, Eraser
Black Sharpie, Cardstock
Scissors, Paint brushes

I started by stamping all the trailers on all my coasters using the stamping tool and black ink.

Once everything was stamped and dried, I colored all my trailers using the Tattered Angel High Impact Paints.
I used two coats to make sure there’s an even coverage.

I added the details using my extra fine black sharpie and that completes my coasters.

I started my placemat by using a set of alphabet stamps and using a regular writing pencil to trace out the letters.

I then took a piece of white cardstock to draw on a shape of a trailer since the stamps I have were way too small for my placemat. Once I was happy with the shape, I cut it out and placed it on the placemat and used my pencil to trace it on the placemat.

Now everything is traced, I took my Tattered Angel High Impact paints and mixed it with a bit of textile medium. The textile medium makes your paint a little bit more flexibile and makes it easier to paint since it was a larger area.

Once all my paint and details were done, I once again used my black Sharpie to trace out all the details.

Now your placemat and coasters are ready, all you need to do is make the best of the autumn sunshine and … GO GLAMPING!!!

Happy crafting!
