Hi, Chris Pozzi here and today I have my latest thrift store frame revamp project that I’d love to share with you.
I found this frame at my local Goodwill Store. The coloring was a green from another “trendy” era. I know I could re-purpose the frame to coordinate with my love of flowers and all things Nature! I was able to update the color using Tattered Angels New Color Wash Faux Finish in Weathered Copper.
Products Chris used to upcycle her frame:
Tattered Angels Color Wash Faux Finish – Weathered Copper
Tattered Angels Mini Origins Art Collection – Wings
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – English Ivy, Woven Burlap, Festival, Cross My Heart, Marigold, Pumpkin Spice, Nougat, Verdigris, Mountain Mist, Dried Lavender
Canvas Corp Spring Showers paper – Butterflies on Ivory
Premade “Prima” flowers (any color)
Repaint the picture frame using Tattered Angels Color Wash Faux Finish – Weathered Copper.
Paint leaves on Mixed Media Origins Wings paper using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist -English Ivy.
Paint branches using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Woven Burlap.
Paint flowers first with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Festival, then add shading with Cross My Heart.
Paint the butterfly with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist -Marigold then shade with Pumpkin Spice.
Paint Catepillar with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Nougat then shade with Verdigris.
Paint background with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Mountain Mist.
Once dry, trim Mixed Media Origins paper to fit into frame.
Fussy cut Butterfly from Butterflies on IVory paper.
Paint with Marigold Glimmer Mist then shade with Pumpkin Spice.
Recolor “prima” style flowers using Glimmer Mists – Festival and Dried Lavender.
Add flowers and fussy cut butterfly to frame to finish.
The old frame has been completely upcycled and given a new life!
Happy crafting!!!
