Not Ready For Summer To End Garden Cards and Banner

We get more and more excited about the Canvas Corp Mix and Match Pads and one of our favorites is The Watering Can Mix and Match. We wanted to create just a few more projects as the summer comes to an end, the garden hoes are surrendered to the shed and the ground is prepared to receive bulbs this fall. We can say that gardening is a spring/summer activity, but we are alway planning, planting and harvesting something from early spring when the Snowdrops pop through the snow to the Iris’s showing their fine beauty to mid-summer Gerber Daisies in full bloom to the Mums in the fall. So what better way to finish out the summer and get ready for the fall and winter than to create a few fun garden inspired projects that would make great holiday gifts for your favorite gardener, something great for your studio if you are a gardener at heart or just because.

What you will need: The Watering Can Mix and Match Pad – glue and scissors – yes that is it, no extra shopping around, you can use your favorite craft tools and create your cards your way. We used some items in the craft room and will point them out, but these ideas are great for using things you already have when you add them to the great assortment of papers, printed fabric, burlap and canvas that you get in one mix and match pad!!!

Garden Inspired Note Cards

Create these fun cards by fussy cutting the printed canvas fabric piece that comes with your mix and match pad and adding them to your cards. You can leave them as they are or color them in with markers, watercolors, inks, mists and more. You can fussy cut the bikes from the bikes and baskets paper too. Layer pieces of burlap to give you cards texture. The cards are all made with papers from the pad, the paper weight is actual cardstock, so they all are great for making cards, banners, die cuts, scrapbook layouts and more.

The black & ivory solid cardstock lets the artwork stand out beautifully. The various papers, styles and prints allow you to design the cards your way. They papers look as if they have been hand-stamped. The black and ivory tones are perfect as they are or you can color them in with Copic Markers, watercolors, mists, inks and more. Use any of the papers to make cards or grab a small paper bag and then you can fill it with gift cards, special note or tickets to a great concert.

Canvas Corp Kraft Banner Kit (includes 8 kraft pennants, 8 natural clothespins and 72″ of natural jute
Canvas Corp Mix and Match Pad – The Watering Can
Canvas Corp Burlap Flower- Wheat

Supplies: Scissors, Marvy/Uchida Round Punch; Beacon’s 3 in 1 Glue
