Painting on a Recycled Wooden Pallet

Hello! I am Christine Keenan and I wanted to share with you a piece of art that I made for a local charity.
As a volunteer for a local non-profit that empowers at risk girls by teaching woodworking skills, I thought this would be an appropriate piece of art to donate to their silent auction. I’m happy support this local cause and know that it will bring awareness to a worthwhile group.

I used for my painting:
Recycled pallet wood
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – It’s BlackIt’s OrangeAbominable Snowman
Tattered Angels Baseboard Mist – Wave
Tattered Angels Color Wash Faux Finish Paint – Patina
Brushes, spray bottle, hammer and saw

I built, sanded then painted a sunset scene on recycled wooden pallet and used a brush to apply a variety of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and Color Wash to bring it to life. I used a spray bottle to soften the colors, then after it dried, I sanded it down slightly to make it look more weathered.

I am proud to say that it raised $250!!!

Have a great day!!!
