We are having fun taking a peek inside the homes of our CCB Crew to see what they are up to with their holiday decorating this season and today’s post is is all about DIY stockings and creative ways to decorate or make your own stockings. Whether you are making them from scratch or embellishing them for your family, there are so many ways you can make a set of stockings that will fit right in with your holiday decorations. Some like to make their cookies from scratch and others like to just add a little icing, that is what this blog is all about today and we are going to kick it off with a great set of stockings created by Angélique Jarrier for her family.
A bit of Canvas Corp’s new Canvas Garland is all you need to hang the stockings with care as they decorate the mantel with such flare. Each stocking is embellished so sweet and we know for sure each one must hold a treat.
Add a bit of lace and a touch of floral grace. The stockings look so great together and yet each one is a bit different. Add the names or color coordinate them, you choose. The Canvas Corp Stockings have a rustic finish and look so great in a Shabby Chic handmade style space.
Get the look with Canvas Corp Stockings Large and Small (also available in burlap); Red Burlap Flowers, Ivory Burlap Flowers, Canvas Garland; 7gypsies Lace; Canvas Corp Red Small Clothespins

The toes are oh so shabby, the ticking wrapped so tight with ribbons galore, oh what a site. Cherry Nelson’s stockings are a sure fit for any Rustic, Farmhouse, Woodland or Country Christmas home. The layers of reds with natural colors work so very well together.
Add bottle tops to the center of your flowerss and use the Canvas Corp Tags as little details underneath.
Blend ribbon with burlap and twine and the look is so divine.
What you will need to get the look:
Canvas Corp Stockings Small burlap (8″ x 10″); Stockings canvas (8″ x 10″); canvas fringe red ticking; canvas flowers ticking red; burlap flower in natural; farmhouse christmas tags ; 7gypsies metal clips; Farmhouse christmas Tags; assorted ribbon, holiday bottle caps, baker’s twine, assorted holiday embellishments. – don’t forget a bit of needle and thread.
Maybe red, white and black is more your style, well if you cannot find what you are looking for, why not make them yourself. Choose one ore more basic black and white fabrics. We suggest home decor fabrics as they are thicker and will hold up a longer.
Personalize your stockings by choosing one of the Canvas Corp Printed fabrics to add to the stocking top. The screen printed fabric will stand up to all that you have to give and you can even color in the art with fabric paints or markers.

It takes just 2 Jolly Christmas panels, a small print for the cuff and some scrap for the lining to make this cute stocking.
Alison shows us a fun way to use stockings for a family countdown, but you can also add the name of each member of the family where the numbers are. This is a great idea for growing and expanding families. You can simply add more names where the numbers are and embellish more stockings as you need them.
Alison also shared this terrific idea on her home tour of adding a round of faux greenery and a bit of red ribbon with these fabulous tin stars and the look is so simple and so stunning.
Another simple way to dress up basic stockings is to add a touch of trim like this white fluff added to the Canvas Corp Burlap Jester Stocking.
No matter how you decorate for the holidays you can make the perfect coordinating stockings for your home. Burlap, canvas, painted, trimmed, etc.
Happy Holiday Creating!!
