We all have been in a situation when we needed and all-occasion card but the ones in the shops were… just not what we liked. So, in the name of real crafting dedication, why not make your own cards? Or even better, why not break the rules and make a tag instead of a card?!
Tracy Dickson talks us through making a set of all-occasion tags, full of bright colours perfect for spring!
‘I wanted to create some colourful and full of textures, yet not too dimensional pieces. Tags are mini works of art and quick to create.’ – says Tracy.

Cut time cards into a tag shape and punch a hole.
Apply Gesso with a brayer. Spray with Tattered Angels Baseboard mist in Gravel and Nougat.
Splatter with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Cranberry Zing.
Tear some pieces of Canvas Corp Black and Ivory French Script and color it with Tattered Angels High Impact Paint in Navy, Turquoise and Light Pink.
Use Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Key Lime Pie to color some joint tape, adhesive ribbon and paper cord.
Arrange all of your pieces on your tags and adhere with Collage Pauge they way you like them.
Dry brush the entire tag with gesso. This will make the various colours blend and seem more uniform.
Apply puddles of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Patina and dry with a heat gun.
Add embellishments such as fussy cut stamped images then tie ribbon or paper cord to the top.
Quick and easy – tick! Colourful and brings – tick! Eye-catching – tick!
You can customise the tags using the colours and designs you like and write your greetings at the back – perfect replacement for the usual greeting card.
