I often challenge myself to work outside my comfort zone! I have never ever tried to create anything that is Steampunk on nature, but really wanted to give it a try! This cameo which I dubbed Steampunk Fashion Street was the result. I am Chris Pozzi and the project I have for you today could just as easily been entitled Tattered Angels Love as I really wanted to see how the different Tattered Angels products played together!
Materials used for the project:
Gypsy Soul House Shrine
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Rose Gold, Patina, Pop Rocks, Verdigris, Bronze
Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam – Bon Bon
Tattered Angels ColorWash – Patina
7gypsies Architextures Junque Pack – Library
7gypsies Architextures Paper Pad
Blank Page Muse Stamps – Vintage Steampunk Gentleman with Wings
Tim Holtz 3D Texture Fade
Black Ink, Alcohol Markers
Spare Parts (Hobby Lobby) – clock, wood gears
Watercolor paper
Stamp Steampunk Gentleman onto watercolor paper. Color image and then fussy cut. Set aside.
Using Texture Fade Folder emboss a piece of watercolor paper.
Mist Embossed paper with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Rose Gold, Patina , Pop Rocks and Verdigris. Set aside to dry.
Paint pieces of shrine with Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam – Bon Bon. Note : I purposely applied the glaze thicker in some areas, trying to mimic wood grain.
Apply Tattered Angels Color Wash – Patina over glazed pieces, blotting off excess Color Wash.
Cut embossed paper to fit inside shrine and add to shrine back.
Add light from 7 Gypsies Architextures Junque Pack – Library . Fussy cut door from 7 Gypsies Architextures Paper Pad and add to shrine. Add stamped Steampunk gentleman using foam tape for dimension.
Assemble the rest of the shrine. Mist 3 wooden gears with Tattered Angels Glimmer mists in Bronze, then Patina, then Pop Rocks. Paint 1 gear with Patina Color Wash.
Adhere gears and clock to shrine to finish.
