Hey! It’s my turn on the blog again and I have a fun project for you today. I found this metal box some time ago and had to have it. I wasn’t sure then what I was going to do with it, but when I saw the new Tattered Angels Color Wash Paints, I knew Pewter would be the start of a new project.
Steph used the following products:
Tin Box
Canvas Corp Mix and Match Pad – The Watering Can
Tattered Angels – Color Wash – Pewter
Tattered Angels – Stained Glass – Lemon, Lavender
Tattered Angels – Glimmer Glam – Golden Goddess
Tattered Angels – Glimmer Glaze – Saffron
Tattered Angels – Baseboard Mist – Gravel, Ivory
Tattered Angels – Chalkboard Mist – Alaskan Salmon, Splash
Dies and Die cut Machine
Paint brushes, Script Stamp, Imagine Memento Luxe Ink
The Crafter’s Workshop Stencil, Molding Paste
Paint the tin box with Pewter Color Wash paint.
The paint will pool on the metal so move the paint with a brush.
Allow to dry thoroughly.
Don’t forget to paint inside the box!
Use molding paste through a stencil to create a 3 dimensional effect in the right corner.
Using a script stamp with Memento Luxe Ink, stamp randomly around the box, including the spine.
Die cut the bicycle paper, black cardstock and burlap with graduating sized oval dies.
Add touches of color to the flowers. Adhere to box.
Fussy cut a butterfly and paint with assorted colors paints and mists.
Mat butterfly with black cardstock then add to the upper corner. Fussy cut label and add to bottom corner.
Think about adding little gifts or candy inside the box and it’s ready to give as a gift to someone special.
Have a great crafty day!!!
