Hey everyone!
As you can imagine, Compose Your Life collection is very close to my heart. I wanted to surprise Christine (the company’s owner) and send her a layout made just for her. It’s my way of saying thank you for such an amazing opportunity to design my own papers for Canvas Corp.
I sterted by preparing the elements I wanted to colour – using Tattered Angels mists, I added various shades onto the cut-out flowers. The papers are of great quality and will take all the wet media you can think of, including layers of paint; they will still look great when you’re done!
From the Red Flower Pieces, I cut out any additional pieces I wanted to use.
Which and how many elements you use is entirely up to you – it’s your project so let your creativity take over!

To add 3D to the elements, I used a square of cardboard and hot glued it under each element.
You can opt to use double sided foam tape – it will do the same job but won’t be as durable.

As usual, I added some wire to the project – I absolutely love it!
I punched small holes in the paper and threaded the wire through them. It was almost like hand stitching but with a wire.

For my splashes, I use Acrylic Ink as it doesn’t soak into the paper. You could also use Chalkboard or Baseboard mists from Tattered Angels to achieve this effect. Use a very thin paint brush or a barbecue stick to make the splashes small.
After arranging my composition, I added shine to some of the elements by covering them in Ranger Glossy Accents.
I promise you that your layout will look ah-may-zing!
Thank you Christine for trusting in me by allowing this collection to come to life.
I will soon be back to show you how to colour the flowers with a variety of media.
Take care!!!
