Wings On Wednesday – domino fridge magnet

Today’s episode of Wings On Wednesday brings yet another unusual interpretation of the theme!
Our Crew member, Vicky Fortier challenged herself out of her comfort zone and straight into altering domino tiles. ‘Find Your Wings’ is her take on our Wednesday theme and, although without the actual wing design, her mini fridge magnet is everything we could ask for!

After reading the prompt on the Angel Warrior Committee, I thought of what the wings meant to me. I have been trying to find my wings this year by doing things that are out of my confort zone. Therefore, the sentiment came to me right away. And what better way to see it all the time than to put it on the fridge. So the idea of a magnet came to mind and finally I got the nerve to try my hand at doing an altered domino. Using the Tattered Angel products made this process extra easy! Tattered Angels Naturally Aged Kit – Granite (Precious Stone Faux Finish Paint Kit)
a domino (purchased at a thrift store)
a magnet (from the dollar store)
paper
small alphabet stamp
black archival ink
Liquitex gloss medium/varnish to protect it
E6000 glue to glue the magnet to the back of the domino
heat gun
paint brush
