Wings on Wednesday take an unusual turn today as we use them in an usual context – a golden moon-like creature with wings… Interesting, right?!?
Let’s take a closer look…
Our Crew member, Alicja Staszak, made a multi dimensional and full of textures wooden moon tag. She also shares her process in case you’d like to give similar project a go.
Materials used for the tag:
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Candy Corn and Black Magic
Tattered Angels Baseboard Mist – Wave
Tattered Angels High Impact Paint- Antique Gold
glitter, gauze
clay and moulds – wings and face
white gesso, gel medium
heat tool, spatula
Apply white gesso on the tag using spatula or craft palette knife – making it various thickness adds texture and dimension to the base straight away!.
Mix Candy Corn mist, gel medium and glitter and run the mixture through a star stencil to create sparkly design on the tag.
Colour the gauze with a Wave Baseboard Paint and glue it with a gel medium giving a dimensional look to this project.
Paint the clay shapes with the black mist and let them dry.
Glue the elements to the tag and make an interesting composition.
Add some mini stones and 3D balls and more white gauze to the composition.
Use Antique Gold High Impact paint to highlight the details.
Done! Your moon tag is ready!
