Spring has been here for a while now and summer is getting closer and closer every day.
Flowers and trees are in full bloom, nature is awaken and working hard making the world around us full of colours and noisy life.
What better way to bring all this busyness indoors than by replicating the outdoors?
Our Crew member, Steph Ackerman altered a plain birdhouse using Architextures and Canvas Corp papers and added to it some colour with Tattered Angels paints – the result?
Look for yourself!
‘I picked up this paper mache birdhouse and wanted to alter it with papers from Canvas Corp and 7gypsies. I knew the combination of papers would be perfect for a home décor project. Add in lots of Tattered Angels paints and a stunning home décor project is created.’ – says Steph.

Add black cardstock to finish the roof lines.
Paint bottom of birdhouse with Sweet Pea, then the edges with Lava Basebord and Grey High Impact Paint.
Cut Chicken Wire paper to create the overhang. Paint with Lava Baseboard. Then glue to the roof.
Cut the Herb paper to fit the sides of the birdhouse. Paint with Sweet Pea around the edges and Palo Verde on the leaves.
Cut 7gypsies papers to fit the front and back of the birdhouse. Die-cut a circle in the front panel and a circle border to fit the opening.
Paint 7gypsies paper with Sprout and Sweet Pea. Once dry, die cut into flourishes.
Glue the flourishes around the birdhouse. Make a bird from clay, paint with Golden Goddess and Clay Baseboard then adhere to the birdhouse.
