April Challenge “Feathers”

Feathers are a great! We love them! They are soft, and really beautiful. They come in so many colors and structures and the best thing – they look great on your craft projects. That is why we chose our April Challenge to be all about Feathers! We hope you love it as much as our Creative Crew does.

The How to:

Use Feathers as your inspiration when you create. You can also incorporate items or colors from the moodboard. Create, decorate, sew, knit or paint – release your imagination and be creative!

This month we have a different prize – we will invite the winner of the challenge to be our Guest Designer in June. This means that you will get a box filled with goodies from all 3 Canvas Corp Brands to play with!

To enter this challenge you need to link up your entry  Blog post, or post on Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest (link to the actual project – not the whole page) by using the linkytool below. You have until the end of May 5 to submit your project!  All submissions must have #ccbchallenge somewhere to be considered.

We asked Carly Poole
& Kerstin-Inga Peters from the Canvas Corp Brands Crew made these samples using Canvas Corp Brands products. If you are not familiar with the Crew, they are a part of one of the most dynamic, creative, positive, inspiring, world-wide design team in the industry.

Carly Poole made these really cool eggs inspired by the challenge.

Cheap plastic eggs created to make a beautiful simple center piece.
I didnt have any grass or hay so I decided to use the Canvas Corp Brand white burlap and shredded it
I coated the eggs 4 times with the high impact color light blue with a spray bottle that I watered it down to create a spray for better coating. I let dry between each coats and then used the mist by tattered angels chocolate brown and mixed it with water on a mat then splatter painted each egg.

Products from Canvas Corp Brands: Canvas Corp – Canvas Sheets, Tattered Angels – High Impact Paint Light Blue, Tattered Angels Baseboard Mist – Chocolate Brown

Crew Member Kerstin-Inga Peters made a set of ATC´s.

Kerstin-Inga was inspired from the beautiful color blue and from the light and floating feathers on our monthly moodboard. It’s springtime where she lives, we can smell the fresh air in sunshine, relaxing, gardening, or walk through the nature.
But it’s also fun to work and create with fresh and bright colors.

I live with my partner and my two children, in a small village the North of Sweden. I work as a Intensive Care Nurse (with Cardiology as speciality). My "style" is colourful and playful. I often use a lot of papers and embellishments. I try to have the photo in focus, and to reflect the feeling of the photo in the layout. I also makes cards and altered projects. If I would call my style something - well maybe Playful Punk Chic? (if i do a romantic layout, I can´t help giving it a playful twist...)
