Today Crew Member Viktoriya Porechnaya inspire us with a card created for our current challenge “Woodgrain”.
I would like to use new amazing products of Canvas Corp Brands for this Challenge- Compose Your Life collection by Aga Baraniak and Color Wash Paints. I found great textured papers in the 8×8 pack and one of them is woodgrain textured paper So I’ve made the floral spring card with it and have step-by-step tutorial for you.
Products from Canvas Corp Brands:
Canvas Corp Compose Your Life 8×8 paper Pack
Tattered Angels Color Wash Paint – French Roast
Tattered Angels Color Wash Paint – Blue Lagoon
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists – Barn Red
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Olive Vine
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Tutti Frutti
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Iriscedent Silver
Tattered Angels Chalkboard Mist – Teal
Canvas Corp Value Pack Greeting Cards – White
Cut the 4’x6′ sheet from woodgrain textured paper and apply French Roast Color Wash Paint on it with brush. Tone it around with Blue Lagoon Color Wash Paint. Use tough semi-dried brush and French Roast Color Wash Paint and draw “woodgrain” lines with light touches.
Adhesive this background on the card from Canvas Corp Value Pack Greeting Cards. Start to decorate. Fusy cut watercolor flowers from floral paper and tone edges with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. Punch circles from title paper or cut it with scissors.
Add silver shine to chipboard with Iriscedent Silver Glimmer Mist. Compose the layers-die-cuts,fusy cutted details, punched circles, cheapboards. Add thick cardboard for dimension . Use sisal and sequinsamong layers. Then add title on the bottom of card.
Finally cover the bird and title and make splashes with Teal Chalkboard and Barn Red Glimmer mists. You can add some water to splashes and make watercolor spotsAlso I used white gesso for it.
