Wings are for angels as colour is for us, crafters.
It was an easy combination for Tattered Angels to choose colourful wings as our recurring theme. From home decor through gift boxes to greeting cards, wings are a universal and versatile symbol that can be used and adapted to almost any occasion.
Today, our Crew member, Yulia Popkova, shares her scrapbooking page called ‘Wings behind my back’. With the amazing textures of Mixed Media Origins paper and Tattered Angels colours, she created an eye-catching and bright layout.
‘I really love walking in the park in the spring when everything is flowering. Among the trees and flowers, I rest from the noisy city I live in and I get a chance to dream. I made a page with colorful background to represent the dreams; the wings are representing the peace and freedom I find in the park amongst the blooming nature. I hope you like my project.’ – says Yulia.
Materials used:
Tattered Angels Calendar Kit Paint System Spring Flowers
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – True Turquoise
Tattered Angels Chalkboard Mist Paint – Pot of Gold
Tattered Angels Mixed Media Origins – Grace
Tools:
artists’ brushes
Isn’t it a fun page? The colours reflect the awakening nature and sunshine; the photo fits in perfectly and the ‘happy’ title of the pages tells us exactly how Yulia feels in this bright and peaceful environment.
Mixed Media Origins papers are the perfect design to use as a scrapbooking base – with their textured feel and layered designs, they are extremely effective with added colours or as they are (in shades of grey). You can cut them to become embellishments or use as a whole, the way Yulia did.

Have a great, creative day!!!
