Agnes Kieler is the designer we’d like to feature on today’s Wings On Wednesday. She has created a colourful mixed media project named – My Dream Catching Angel. Agnes, the floor is yours!
Everybody dreams so why not let the little clouds of our subconsciousness be kept in a nice dream catcher. I decided to make one with an angel full of beautiful bright colours; I wanted the dress to be nice and bright like the air around us.
Materials Agnes used to make her dream catcher:
Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze – Parsley
Tattered Angels Stained Glass – Aqua
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Pomegranate, Blue Bubbles, Rolling Tide, Electric Blue, Patina, Summer Glow, Vintage Pink, Pearl
Crackle Paint, Gesso white
Carabelle Angel stamp
Artistiko Dream Cacher Base
Sisal, Feathers, Glue gun, scissors
I covered my dream catcher base with white gesso and added some crackle paint, crystal paste and some stencil patterns.
After my base was ready and dry, I started adding colours.
First one was blue and I thought it would be the main one but I decided to make it really colourful.
As you will see in the next step, the background became really colourful.
To colour the background, you will need to choose the colours you’d like to have on your dream cacher.
As you can see, my is very colourful.I just continued adding one by one until it matched the idea I had in my head 🙂
This is how the base looks after finishing it with all the colours and a little bit of sisal on the sides.
I also added a mini-frame to which I attached a little quote.
Last step is to create our angel and colour it.
I hope you enjoyed it and got inspired to create one for yourself.
