Canvas and burlap stockings to hang on the fireplace...

In most Christmas traditions, stockings play an important part – some hang them at the bottom of their bed, some leave them by the fireplace… whatever the location, they are expected to be found full of gifts on the Christmas Day morning!
But how about adding the personal touch to the so important part of Christmas decor and, instead of buying the pre-made version that will be found in o many homes, make your own? Stop by the Canvas Corp Brands Shop and buy plain canvas or burlap stocking and embellish it in your own way!

I have wanted to create a Christmas stocking ever since I saw these burlap stockings in the CCB Store! I love how simple and easy this project was! – excitedly shares Chris.

Chris used for her stocking:
Canvas Corp Large burlap stocking
Canvas Corp Red Burlap
greenery
adhesive – fabric, mixed media
Ribbon and pillow stuffing

Quick instructions on how to embellish the stocking:

Cut patches from red burlap and attach with fabric glue. Attach burlap strip along stocking collar. Trim edges.
Gently fill stocking with stuffing if using as a door hanging. If you are using it as a stocking, do not fill.
Attach pre-made greenery spring with a ribbon bow to finish.

What is the best decor for Christmas? Beautiful Christmas Stockings which you make yourself, of course! Use Decor & DIY White paint, sponge and stencils to create different patterns on the stockings.

Cut laces and garland and sew to stockings.

You can use ready made Canvas Corp flowers and embellishments ore you can make them yourself.
For example, a flower made from a canvas garland and a tassel made from a cord.

Add buttons, embellishments and paper tags – sew or glue them to every stocking for different and unique style.

Finally, fill your stockings with sweets and presents for your family.
