In a tangle card

One of my favourite ways to relax is with a pen and paper, doing a bit of doodling. The  new Tattered Tangles papers are already filled from edge to edge with fantastic tangle designs all ready to colour and use.

Before I started layering my tangles I needed a base to work on so over a piece of watercolour paper I sprayed  Crushed Shells Glimmer Mist and some spots of Bittersweet Baseboard and Beetle Black Glimmer Mist.

Now that the stark white was taken off the paper a bit I could add some stamping texture and used the text stamp and diamond border from Canvas Corp Stamps by Hampton Art set called Savor The Moment.

I cut my tangle pieces from a sheet of borders and added spots of bright red with High Impact paint. I used a BBQ stick to paint on the mini dots and fill in the small areas as I found I had more control this way than with even the smallest brush. To create my arrow I simply cut off one of the tangles and added a small arrow head to the end.

The quote is cut from a large sheet which is full of quotes and tangles. I backed it on black card and mounted it on 3d foam to help it stand out.

To just finish off the card I added a few doodles of my own to bring everything together.
