Valentine’s Day is all about showing our love and appreciation to our ‘other halves’ or our secret crushes (wink wink yes, we know…) but… what about our little ones? We sure love them and they bring so much happiness and light to our lives so why not treat them to a little something on this filled with love day?
Steph Ackerman has a great and easy to do idea – Candy Bags!!! With colourful hearts and on the label and heart-shaped sweets inside, they are going to be loved by our little rays of sunshine.
I love giving little treats to the kids for Valentine’s Day. Rather than giving them boxes of candy, I like to make treat bags for everyone. – says Steph.
Products used for the treat bags:
Canvas Corp Tossed Hearts on Ivory Cardstock
Canvas Corp Black Cardstock
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Party Pink
Tattered Angels Baseboard Fire
Tattered Angels Chalkboard Priority
Tattered Angels Stained Glass Lavender, Hot Pink
Spellbinders Dies and a die cutting machine
Wilton treat bags, Scor-Pal
Cut 4 strips of Hearts on Ivory cardstock, each 1 3/4″ x 3 3/4″. Paint hearts with Party Pink, Fire, Hot Pink.
Continue painting, using Priority and Lavender so there are different colors of hearts on each strip.
Cut black cardstock 4″ x 4″. Using Scor-Pal, score in half.
Fills bags with candy hearts. Staple black cardstock to the bags. Adhere the strips to the bags.
Stamp phrase in black ink. Die cut and mat with larger die. Add to toppers.
Don’t you think it’s a great way of keeping the little ones involved?
Have a great crafty day!!!
